Fun & Funky Festivals - Go!

Fun & Funky Festivals - Go!

This year there are the same annual favorited festivals to go to and some new ones to try, let's have a look at  a little sample! The number of festivals is vast therefore we couldn't possibly feature all of them as there as so many (which is a good thing right)?

If you are any thing like me then you like to dip your toes into not just one genre of music, cultural scene or expo - but, you like to try a little bit of everything. With festivals (and life) diversity is key!

If you think about it, many of these festivals travel around the world and have been doing so for years, like the Cirque du Soleil for example. Therefore it's a given that they are established and their longevity and popularity can only speak for itself.

Toronto's Beer Festival
It must also be noted that if you get the chance to go to one of the larger festivals you must, the very least once in a lifetime! Toronto's Festival of Beer for example, they look like they are having a terrible time don't they!

We at WOW have the whole lot of festivals to choose from.
From a Gala Of The Royal HorsesExpo Milano 2015: Single Date TicketHello Kitty's Supercute Friendship FestivalBritt Orchestra: Aoife O'Donovan & Jeremy KittelSummer in the City - 2 Day PassTrampled By Turtles & The Devil Makes ThreeSpokane County Interstate Fair: Demolition Derby to a simple Brewsiana - Craft Beer and Music Festival.

The Burning Man Festival (Burning Man Festival - Week Pass) is also one of the noteworthy festivals in the NW.
To those of you who aren't quite familiar with Burning Man this is a little information piece taken from their official website:

About Us

Burning Man is a network of people inspired by the values reflected in the Ten Principles and united in the pursuit of a more creative and connected existence in the world. Throughout the year we work to build Black Rock City, home of the largest annual Burning Man gathering, and nurture the distinctive culture emerging from that experience. The hub of this global network is the 501(c)(3) non-profit Burning Man Project, headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Burning Man organization is to facilitate and extend the culture that has issued from the Burning Man event into the larger world.

Vision

The Burning Man organization will bring experiences to people in grand, awe-inspiring and joyful ways that lift the human spirit, address social problems and inspire a sense of culture, community and personal engagement.
What ever festival you decide to see this year music, dance, horses, beer - make it spectacular!

Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean - Country Music Summer Concert Tours!

Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean - Country Music Concert Tours!

Are you guys spoiled or what??

The fact these major heavy Country Music hitters:
Kenny Chesney, Shania Twain, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean
are all on concert this summer only leaves you country music fans with a huge problem - which one/s to choose??!

So let's have a little look at what the fans are saying about these guys and their current performances so WOW Tickets can help you fans decide! Yup, WOW is always thinking about you!

Let's start with Kenny Chesney... Well, he is absolutely the country star and his fans, career longevity and record sell-outs will stand to testify that! Taken from Al.com :

"The country singer, 47, celebrated his birthday on opening night in Nashville, welcoming a plethora of celebrity guests to the stage on March 26 at Bridgestone Arena.
Recaps of that initial show have been glowing, focusing on Chesney's enduring appeal and the star power added by Taylor Swift, Grace Potter, David Lee Murphy and more.
Although Chesney's performance, which lasted more than three hours, certainly won't be duplicated in other cities on the tour, it does offer a preview of what he has in mind for 2015.
As fans wait for Chesney's "Big Revival Tour" to arrive in Birmingham on April 9, they might want to consider the following review excerpts and setlist, all pulled from the Nashville kickoff.
"The singer, an eight-time entertainer of the year, greeted the audience with open arms and then did his best to hold them there for the rest of the night.
"'Are we feeling good out there?' a well-tanned and toned Chesney asked from the stage, showing off his sculpted biceps in a sleeveless Grace Potter t-shirt.
"Over the course of the concert, Chesney didn't talk much -- he just kept the hits and charisma coming. He fit a version of his stadium stage into Bridgestone Arena then glided across the structure and its catwalks with a grace, comfort and confidence of someone welcoming friends into his home."

Shania Twain however is coming back with avengance and started off her long awaited tour in Seattle recently after last album
(and some personal set backs) was released in 2002, Up!

Her 'Farewell' tour is deemed to be her best yet and critics loved that she adds charm, banter and laughter into her shows as well as adding her most popular album releases like "No One Needs to Know" and the heartfelt "Today Is Your Day." There was a little wink added to the countrified proceedings, as well: During the title track to her last album Up!, Twain mounted a fringed saddle that lifted in the air and took her in a long slow circle above the audience as she sang. A perfect country songstress.

Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean have differing performing styles although they are both still very much part of the Country Crooner genre.

As to be expected both Aldean and Bryan are big hitters with the ladies and bros alike and apparently Bryan has been kicking up the dust with his current "Kick Up the Dust' tour! Here are 2 reviews:

This concert was AMAZING!!! Every act was great and I had such a fun time with my friends! Couldn't have been any better!
Favorite moment: There were fireworks!!!

Aldean  has also been apparently "burning it down" and reviews for his shows (many shows he appears with Chesney) have been hugely positive with crowds saying they would definitely go back again and again!

Find Comedy In Your Area

Find Comedy In Your Area

Let's face it, we all need some comedy in our lives!

Whether it's the daily scooping of doggy poop or your bosses breath that makes you feel the need to burst into tears sometimes all that's required is some hard laugh-out-loud comedy to make your day better - medicine for the soul, Amen!

So where does one go to get a laughter prescription?

Look no further than WOW Tickets to find all the best comedy seats and venues in your local area.

If you want to see a big time name like Kevin Hart (who by-the-way is hilarious) or a lesser known comedian (the big ones always start off small) you will be guaranteed some belly laughs all in one evening.

Seeing a great stand up comedian is very addictive, its like finding the right Zumba instructor and/or great hairdresser - once you hit the jackpot nothing else will do!

However, you'll be pleased to know that, as comedy is an industry very hard to break into you will find some great lesser known's who are just as funny, if not better, than the big timers!

Kevin Hart

If we want to take a date and see a comedian its best advised we research the comedian first to make sure they are funny yet not too improper, by that I mean that they don't use too much adult (blushing) 'humor' that could leave you feeling a little awkward. Although it has to be said however, that seeing a comedian that is a little risque may be totally appropriate for a group of your girl/guy pals and its also worth noting that not all stand-ups are child attendance friendly - so check their reviews in advance and/or even look at a few You tube videos of them preforming first. You don't really want to spend half of the performance covering your own, or others, ears!

Here at WOW Tickets you will find Kevin Hart (of course),
Bill Maher, Kathy Griffin, Howie Mandel, Seth Meyers and many, many more - also you will find Memphis Comedy Festival and many other comedy Festival tickets.

Whatever you decide on - you will be in for a real laugh-out-loud!

What Musical to See this Weekend?

What Musical to See this Weekend?

Oh gosh - too many good shows to choose from. Especially if you live in the City!

However, if you are a resident of a smaller town I am sure WOW-tickets.com can find you a misical to lift your spirits this weekend. Whether you are after a large broadway show or something more sedate relax - we've got it covered.

Perhaps Les Miserables wont actually lift your spirits but it will make you feel lucky!
Hey, what ever you and your family are into and of course, it usually is a mandatory group vote!
Who usually wins? Yup, you're right, the children!

If the the children in your group are under 10 years old then you may be interested to know that Annie, Billy Elliot, Casper, Cats, Disney's Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, Pinnochio and The Lion King are still walking the boards and lets face it, with their current successful run times we know that you are all guaranteed to be in for a treat and it will be money well worth spent.

Mamma Mia!

Disney's Little Mermaid

For older children perhaps consider Mamma Mia!, Matt and Ben, Marvel Universe Live! and Seussical the Musical or Saturday Night Fever  as they seem to be favored options and your children will be toe tapping all the way through the show - well that's the idea!

Mamma Mia! "Stocked with hits from the internationally beloved ABBA catalog, the musical Mamma Mia! has captured the hearts of millions of theatergoers around the world since it was first staged in 1999. This light-hearted musical follows bride-to-be Sophie in her zealous attempt to learn the identity of her father ahead of her upcoming walk down the aisle. Timeless songs like “Dancing Queen,” “Voulez-Vous,” and “Take a Chance on Me” seamlessly tell this energized, heartwarming tale of love, friendship, and family."

As for the ladies of your group there Romeo and Juliette and Echoes of Sinatra seem appropriate for some romance and love, one can dream!

You gentlemen are not forgotten and perhaps One Flew Over Cuckoos Nest or Ring of Fire might be right up your street!

A little humor is just what one needs when one is taking the whole family to the theater!

Enjoy your evening.

THE ROLLING STONES (no less)

THE ROLLING STONES (no less)

When you think of the Rolling Stones one congers up an image in ones head (depending on your age) of a scruffy, handsome middle aged rock band that invented the word 'cool'.
These chaps really are the coolest group since the Beatles! Also, I might add, that it is not arbitrary that you cant follow one if you follow the other however, they do have quite different styles and Mick Jagger is certainly the better showman when compared to Sir Paul McCartney (no offence Paul).

From Bio:

In 1962, one of the most successful and critically acclaimed rock bands of all time, the Rolling Stones was started in London. Named after the Muddy Waters song "Rollin' Stone," the original band included front man Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Brian Jones, bassist Bill Wyman, drummer Charlie Watts and pianist Ian Stewart. Guitarist Ron Wood joined Jagger, Richards and Watts in 1975. The Stones, in their various incarnations, have rocked on for more than 50 years, selling more than 200 million albums worldwide. Here's a look at the musicians who critics and fans alike have dubbed the "World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band.
The Rolling Stones

Today not a lot has changed in the sense of their popularity! They are still touring and they still have a die hard fan base. Mick Jagger is still working the crowd up into a frenzy with his spectacular vocals and stage strutting and they play to sold out venues all around the world.
Here the Rolling Stones playing "Moonlight Mile" in San Diego Petco Park 5/24/2015

Quite obviously they are immortal and actually only get better with age! Like a fine wine.

Every member of my family can contest to have been to see The Rolling Stones live at least once and it's obvious why - talent like theirs out lasts all the others that try and fail.

We love you Rolling Stones. Long Live Forever.

Mariah in Vegas

MARIAH CAREY #1 TO INFINITY

OK, a lot has been said about Mariah Carey but the three things stand out about her that are spectacularly positive:

1. Her vocal talent - well duh!

2. After her record label dropped her - she came back with a vengeance to the pinnacle of even more success. She has the rather fetching 'nick name' of the "Songbird Supreme" due to her talent for reaching incredible higher than high notes! However, WOW thinks she is not only a Songbird Supreme but also a Phoenix! High Five Mariah!

3. She can sure put on a show and although she has been described many times as a diva deluxe - she has a working ethic like a Sergeant Major and boy, you cant fault her for that! Respect.

"Songbird Supreme"

Read this review from a "Verified Purchaser" who attending a recent Vegas show:

May 21, 2015
"I was there for opening night , it was a great show, Mariah, as with anyone with age, has lost some of your vocal range, but just hearing those songs again brought back many memories, and what was cool was sometimes when you go to concerts they play songs you could not care about , she sang 18 #1 hits then the new one , WOW it was worth the money!"

So it would seem that the Songbird Supreme or Diva, Phoenix or whatever you desire to call her hasn't quite left the building yet!
You see talent like that doesn't just fly out the window (or cage) and she is definitely one of the most out standing songstresses of all time with more than 200 million records sold across the globe, five Grammy Awards, 19 World Music Awards, 11 American Music Awards and 31 Billboard Music Awards to her name. "One Sweet Day," remained untouched on the charts for 16 weeks and became (and still remains) the longest-running No. 1 song in history.

Performing all 18 of her timeless No. 1 hits together for the first time, Mariah Carey is bringing her Vegas-tailored residency to The Colosseum for an extravagant 18-show engagement.

The Unstoppable U2 - "Innocence + Experience" Tour

The Unstoppable U2

As a Brit and a 40-something (shhhhh) I have been privy to U2's success and talent since I was 11 years old and as luck had it , my brothers pal was sick so my brother reluctantly took me to go and watch U2 live at Wembley Stadium in London. WOW what an amazing and unforgettable event! It is still engraved in my memory to this day.

Seeing an amazing and unforgettable event is why WOW-Tickets.com is so passionate about selling you, the customer, tickets to events that will inspire you and lift you up! At WOW we know we aren't just selling you the ticket - we are the first and very important step in the process that will get you to the event of your dreams!

So back to U2 - it goes without saying (because they are such a renowned and celebrated band) that you definitely need to see a U2 concert - at least one in your lifetime... But, will one be enough?!

This year they are on their "Innocence + Experience" Tour which is the following tour after their hugely successful 360 Tour which spanned three years and over 100 tour dates - WOW!

Like many established bands of their ilk U2 don't need fan fares and they definitely are not divas! They came from working class backgrounds in Ireland and are now Philanthropists giving to help the worlds poor and sick. They are hugely respected and they deserve this acclamation immensely.

They have the crowds up and dancing and singing in their seats and their shows are a showcase of lights, old and new songs and you will not leave disappointed!

U2

The Very Eligible ED SHEERAN

The Very Eligible ED SHEERAN

OK ladies keep yourself glued to the chair for one small minute whilst I explain why the smooth and charming Ed Sheeran is ever so popular (as if you didn't know)...

This chap was born with music in his blood! Born in the UK from a working class, loving family his talent for music was very quickly apparent as he would take to the family piano even as a toddler.

From BIO

"When he was 11, Sheeran met singer-songwriter Damien Rice backstage at one of Rice’s shows, and the young musician found added inspiration. As the story goes, Rice told Sheeran to write his own music, and Sheeran set out the next day to do just that.
It wasn’t long before Sheeran was recording CDs and selling them, and he soon put together his first official EP, The Orange Room. With that accomplishment and his abiding ambition driving him, at only 14 years of age, Sheeran headed to London for the summer. Thinking he could find gigs on the big city, Sheeran left home with his guitar and a backpack full of clothes, and his musical career took flight."
When Sheeran went to the USA to follow his dreams of making it State side it was the actor
Jamie Foxx who loved his talent so much that he asked him to appear on the Sirus Radio Show.
The rest, as they say, is history.

In 2012 after being featured on Taylor Swift's fourth album Red and opening for Taylor Swift on the associated tour we see saw this success escalate even further.

Ed Sheeran

You can view his hugely successful current Thinking Out Loud single below and watch him dance with a professional dancer with ease and poise, (swoon swoon).

This year Sheeran is touring on his own in support of his
second album, X. Check out WOW-tickets.com for
upcoming tour dates and Ed Sheeran tickets.
